Evil Lynn in packageīut Mattel did not forget the adult collectors that kept this line alive throughout the 2000s. Less details keeps the costs down, and hopefully parents (and lets get real, some grandparents) will see them, get nostalgic, and by them for their kids/grandkids. But, this is a line aimed mostly at the 8-12 year old market. There is little to no detailing on the figures accessories or weapons (unless there was on the original figure) and the colouring of the hair on the He-Man and She-Ra figures are bright more than on the original figure for He-Man, at least. Each figure has a ball joint at the head, ball jointed shoulder and hip articulation, single jointed elbows and knees, pin and hinge at the wrist and a hinge joint at the ankles. The figures designs are faithful to the original figures, but with updated and added articulation. The new Masters of the Universe line, sometimes called Masters of the Universe Origins, are the same size as the original figures about 5.5 inches. Masters of the Universe Origin figures L to R: Zodac, Evil Lynn, and She-Ra Now, He-Man is returning to the toy shelves with a new line that brings us back to the original figures. From the 1990’s New Adventures of He-Man to 2002’s Master of the Universe reboot to Matty Collector’s Masters of the Universe Classics, which ran from 2008 to 2016, there were figures being produced for this property. Despite the original run having started in 1982 and ended in 1988, the line has seen a few reinventions and reboots. The Masters of the Universe franchise is having a resurgence.
